New year, new goals?
Setting goals for my writing is fairly straightforward for me, but for my book coaching business, not so much. As a result, I’ve been looking into ways to do better, think more strategically, plan, and then execute.

As the year winds down, it’s time to reflect on your writing goals for the year. How did you do? And what did you learn from your progress (or lack of progress)?
Big Goal Achieved—Now What?
I already know—in broad strokes—what I need to do next. First, I need to let the story rest a few days, at least. Then I’m going to create a new inside outline of the novel, scene by scene.
Big Goal Check-in
Last October I set a goal to finish a first draft of my middle grade mystery novel by the end of March. I’m very close to finishing—maybe three scenes to go.
